Barry Field

As a Medina Capital Partner, Barry Field brings extensive experience as a sales executive leading successful IT infrastructure and software-enabled technology sales organizations. With a focus on enterprise sales and go-to-market strategies in the technology industry, Barry helps Medina Capital portfolio companies drive revenue and increase business development through various channels, adding meaningful value to expansion-stage technology companies. He provides strategic advice in all aspects of the sales function including direct sales, inside sales, sales operations, distribution models, channels and alliances, and sales engineering.

Field currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Appgate, a Medina Capital portfolio company.

Background

Prior to joining Medina Capital, Barry was the SVP of Global Sales of Verizon Terremark. In that role, he was responsible for managing the global sales organization for the cloud, data center and managed security businesses. Verizon Terremark’s total revenues at the time of Barry’s departure exceeded $1.5 billion and annualized bookings were in excess of several hundred million dollars.

Prior to joining Terremark, Barry served in multiple sales leadership roles, including the East Coast Regional Sales VP and VP of Worldwide Sales, for Data Return, a managed services provider that was ultimately acquired by Terremark. Barry’s early career included roles as a Sales Representative with iKnowledge, in the Boston area, and as a District Sales Manager and Sales Representative with Wallace Computer Services in the New York City area.

Education

Barry received his Bachelor’s in Marketing from Fairfield University.
